The everyday occurrences in everyday lives can be fascinating. Ira Glass, the Chicago-based genius behind public radio's "This American Life" proves it nearly every week.
If you like that program, you may like "The Story of Why," a brutally honest, pseudonymously written blog by a West Garfield Park woman that I won't even try to describe and can't link directly to on orders from above due to concerns about strong language.
Look for "About Family" and "Anniversaries of Note."

I'm still just flabbergasted, really. And this is now my SECOND 100+ day.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the language thing...it actually sounds more like the Trib pussed out, rather than EZ himself. And--truth to tell--I dunno if I'd want a 14-year-old kid reading this without my knowledge. So I sorta, kinda, almost see their point.
Then again, there are WAY worse things on Blogger...I just followed a referring link in my site counter and got someone's homemade porno photoblog. Now, I'm FAR from a prude, but I mean, damn--kids can see this stuff!!! Seriously, this was like some woman's portfolio of assorted practices. Good lord.
